Traditional walling can be either enhanced or ruined with the type of pointing to finish the job off. The modern small deck and rectangular pool was an important part of this landscape gardening project. The eventual planting of suitable shrubs and perennials finished the job off nicely.

Think carefull about the design of steps. Recessed steps are safer to use, and also give a little bit more useable room at the bottom patio or whatever. A lot of earth can be moved with a mini-digger (In the right hands!)


Don't just go for flowers to add colour to your landscape gardening project - foliage shrubs are equally as important.

Timber decking can be used for more than just a rectangular deck. The paving surrounds around this landscaped pond, are important for appearance and also safety.
