Garden Design Services
are somewhat similar to Landscape Gardener's services,
but the specialist Garden Designer normally only carries out the design
work, then either finds a landscape gardener for you, or perhaps leaves
the design plans for youi to make your own arrangements.
You - the client - should be involved at all stages of the project, not simply give the designer a free hand. After the design is finished, the Garden Designer can walk away with his or her cheque. You on the other hand, have to live with the results of the garden design.
Whether or not you leave the planning of a garden to someone who may not necessarily have construction experience, or leave the design work to an experienced landscape gardener is a matter of choice. Not an easy one!
At one time of course, those who built splendid gardens, were happy to be called landscape gardeners. Garden Designers are generally halfway between full Landscape Architects and Landscape Gardeners.
